Project Uplift NFP THE BUCKBEE PROJECT

Project UPlift NFP is currently working towards establishing our official Headquarters at 620 Buckbee St., Rockford, IL 61104. Picture above shows The Buckbee Seed Warehouse  in the early 1900's then the building was 3 stories high and 40,000 sq ft. The building in the early 1930's was added a 4th floor with a total of  51,000 sq. ft. Herman Buckbee and the Buckbee Seed Warehouse  building  was the former Headquarters of the Testors Corporation. We are presently engaging in a complete overhaul of the building, to bring it to proper code, and are preparing for a complete Green movement in an effort to develop the neighborhood of Rockford as well as to utilize it to continue the fight against homelessness.
